Africa Gathering 2013 Speakers Line-up

I’m very privileged and honoured to be speaking and sharing ideas on “Innovation, Technology and Ideas from Africa/Ghana” at the 5th Africa Gathering summit happening at the BBC Broadcasting House, London from June 21 -22, 2013.

This year’s theme is  “Hands-on Technology: Rise of the makers, the dynamic and the disruptive thinkers in Africa” focuses on the success stories on Innovation, Technology and Women Entrepreneurs from the Africa continent.

Day One: Round-tables focusing on “Women in Entrepreneurship and Technology” and “Investment in Innovation in Africa” – in partnership with Venture Capital for Africa.

Day Two: Plenary sessions with presentations by a wide range of speakers from the African continent and the Diaspora showcasing their businesses, technology applications and ideas. There will also be brainstorming sessions during the day to allow more informal interactions between attendees under Africa Gathering’s “Palaver Tree“.

I shall be presenting on Day 2 on “Ghana’s Innovation and Technology Boom“, presenting on the many success stories from Ghana on Internet use for Democracy, Governance, Social activism and Entrepreneurship.

About Africa Gathering:

Africa Gathering is a movement to see African ideas and innovations recognised, used and celebrated. Drawing inspiration from the African Baobab tree, where people traditionally gather to share knowledge, debate issues and learn from each other, African Gathering events – from London to Washington and Nairobi – bring together African change-makers and all those passionate about Africa’s development.
