Moringa School, a world-class coding institution, has partnered with MEST Ghana to bring world-class training program to Ghana.

Across Africa today, young people are embracing the culture of technology, innovation and the opportunities they bring — opportunities to learn how to develop simple solutions to societal problems to building multi-million dollar ventures through software development.

In Ghana, organizations such as The Ghana Code Club,  Tech Needs Girls, and iSpace Foundation have seen the impact coding will have on the next generation and started coding classes for the youth and Women respectively.

It gives me great joy to know that, Moringa School, a world-class coding institution from Nairobi, Kenya has partnered with MEST Ghana to bring their world-class training program to Ghana this September.

Moringa School is pioneering a fresh approach to skills-based education; offering top-of-the-line content matched with market needs.

In the Moringa and MEST partnership, they are offering Moringa Prep, a 5-week, full-time computer science fundamentals course that cover concept foundational to all high-level

Cohorts for the 2017 September inaugural class in Ghana will be taken through the following classes:

  • HTML and CSS: the presentation and styling languages of the web
  • Git: the tool programmers use to track their code
  • Command line: the tool programmers use to interact with their computers
  • Markdown: a simple language for documents
  • JavaScript: the programming language of the web
  • Jquery: a JavaScript library for making interactive web pages
  • Bootstrap: a framework for easily creating good-looking websites
