Social Media Day is a worldwide event that cuts across generational, racial and religious divide, networking and discovering unity in diversity. Social Media Day 2012 – Accra, Ghana provides an offline example of social media where bloggers and other members of the social media community can converge to build networks or most importantly, associates.
We have seen the power of social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter in toppling oppressive regimes and sparking change in North Africa and other parts of the Middle-East.
BloggingGhana, a registered organization of Pro-Ghana bloggers, is helping put together this one-day global event happening at the Meltwater Incubator, No. 19 Banana Street, East-Legon. Accra. [Google Maps]
The theme for this event is: Social media in Ghana; how far have we come? Amongst the topics to be discussed are:
- Is Social Media catching up in Ghana
- How do you use social media (Business, Academia, Personal)?
- Does social media have a bad side?
- After social, what’s next?
As is always the case, you need to register and book your seat before the event. Registration is currently on-going here >> Social Media Day 2012 – Accra, Ghana
Unfortunately, I won’t be attending this awesome event as I’ll be traveling to Berlin, Germany attending to personal issues and more. My advice to those attending:
Re-Tweet people who inspire you and Thank those who Re-Tweet you….!!!
