Ghana Digital Innovation Week (GDIW) Slated For November 22 – 26.

The weeklong innovation week is aimed at mobilizing collective action and investment to catalyze growth in Ghana’s digital innovation ecosystem.

Ghana’s innovation ecosystem continues to grow, with positioning as a leading frontier in digital transformation in Africa.

In line with the Trilateral Co-operation among Ghana, Germany and Israel, GDIW emerged to create synergies towards a more collaborative and inclusive ecosystem for Ghana’s innovation and development.

The weeklong is being launched under the auspices of the Office of the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit Germany.

The programme, which runs from November 22 – 26, 2021; aims to mobilize collaborative action and investment to catalyze growth in Ghana’s innovation ecosystem.

Ghana’s innovation ecosystem continues to grow, with positioning as a leading frontier in digital transformation in Africa. A week-long (5 days) series of events and activities for multi-stakeholders to;
  • Celebrate the accomplishments of Ghana’s digital innovation ecosystem.
  • Build momentum towards a common vision for its future development.
  • Mobilize diverse stakeholders towards collaborative and inclusive ecosystem growth.

The Week is intended to spark nationwide interest and interconnected actions. It will showcase innovations across diverse sectors in all communities, districts, and regions of Ghana. Through high-level plenary sessions, exhibitions, experiential learning, discoveries among others, the Week will spotlight below-the-radar innovations.

The official venue of GDIW is the Accra International Conference Centre with satellite centres at innovation hubs, parks, campuses, market squares, community centres to disseminate and reach all corners of the country.
